I started taking pictures around 1998. I worked with digital cameras right from the start. I though it was fascinating that the images could be viewed, discarded or processed immediately. The options for using images on the Internet were already there, but still very limited due to the available bandwidth. So the first thing was to be able to edit and print the images immediately.
The disadvantages of digital photography compared to analog photography, poor resolution, poor lenses, poor dynamic range, were secondary to me.
My first camera was a Nikon Coolpix 900 with a proud 1.3 MP resolution (1280 x 960 pixels). Unimaginable today. When the first digital SLR cameras came onto the market a few years later, I switched to it and did a self-taught study of conscious photography. After a lot of trial and error, I now get along with techniques such as HDR, focus stacking, multi-row panoramas, night shots with exposure brackets and others.
